We mentioned a few weeks ago (here) that we are thrilled to be included in many diverse cultural traditions when it comes to weddings in Portland. Today's wedding was one such event that was truly stunning. The vibe was modern, very artistic, and full of striking shapes and movement. This bride's couture taste created a sophisticated look and feel that rivals any celebrity wedding. Photography by: Evrim Icoz Coordination: Bridal Bliss Venue: Portland Art Museum Happy Friday! So sorry to have been MIA this week. After an amazing weekend at a very busy bridal show, we have been busy filling up our calendar with 2014 weddings and ramping up for a really full summer. If you know anyone who is planning a wedding and needs gorgeous flowers (and so much more!) be sure to have them give us a call at 503.228.1920 for a complimentary consultation. In the meantime, have a fun 3 minutes perusing these lovelies below... coral charm peonies? Check. Peachy orange dahlias? Check. Fuchsia anemones? Check. Vibrant orange ranunculus? Check. We're ready for summer. How about you? Photography by: Powers Yesterday we ventured back into the Glake archives {remember this Timberline Wedding?} and were delighted to find this little nugget of summer. It saddens us to tell you that this AH.MAZE.ING venue is no longer open to the public but, trust us, it was out of a dream, over the top fabulous, while it lasted. Not only was this beautiful bride lucky enough to snag one of the last wedding dates available at DeArmond, but her mom is also a curator of vintage, couture clothing and the most marvelous antiques. You'll find her silver trophies, milk glass, and more interspersed into the decor. The thoughtful bride and groom even arranged for guests spend downtime playing horseshoes and badminton on the lawn. Talk about classic and timeless. We hope you enjoy! And if you do... would you take a moment and cast your vote for "Best Florist" 2014? It only takes a second and there is no registration necessary. You do, however, need to vote for at least 6 vendors {see here for a list of the ones we love!}. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Venue: DeArmond Estate Photography by: Erica Ann Photography Did you know that the holidays are one of the most popular times of year to get engaged? So although we're counting down the days until our red suited friend slips down the chimney, we're also getting so excited about the upcoming wedding season. Starting in January, thousands of brides will start planning their big day and we'll be ready! Until then, here's a wedding palette from 2013 that we think will still be in demand in 2014. We can't get enough of these delicate, ruffly garden roses and dinnerplate dahlias. And the rosemary sprigs at each place setting? Yes, please. Photography by: Powers Studios Flowers: Geranium Lake Flowers Last week we finally had a breather and were able to organize some of the FABULOUS images we've received from this past summer. This sherbet themed wedding knocked our socks off! Sydnie was one of our Pin it to Win it! contestants and although she didn't win, her overall vision was obviously spot on. Sydnie even decided to create her centerpieces personally, using our DIY bench and some wooden boxes she had collected. It turned out amazing and we were so honored to be a part of their big day. We hope you love it! Photography by: You Look Nice Today Photography PS. If you'd like information on our DIY bench, please email [email protected] |
